Volleyball Championships

U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Sports hosts the Garrison Volleyball Championships May 13-16 at the Wiesbaden Fitness Center. Play begins at 6 p.m. each day. This is the final tournament for unit-level volleyball teams in Wiesbaden. Call Kevin Ringgold at mil 337-5379 for more information.

Fallen Soldier Memorial Run

Youths and adults are invited to Baumholder’s Fallen Soldier Memorial Run May 18 at the Mountaineer Fitness Center. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for $5 at the Mountaineer Fitness Center, although there is no cost to run.

The annual Kaiserslautern American German Business Club Charity Golf Tournament will be held June 8 at the Championship Course on Ramstein Air Base. Proceeds go to support scholarships. Wiesbaden Outdoor Recreation invites community members to work out on their climbing wall behind the Wiesbaden Fitness Center every Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Rental fee is $10 including climbing gear, ropes, harness and shoes — or bring your own. Police March

The 40th international police march will be held April 15 at the Hessen State Police Academy in Wiesbaden-Kohlheck (Schoenbergstr. 100). The event will feature six and 10-kilometer hikes, youth hiking and swimming. Community volleyball

Baumholder holds practices for men’s and women’s volleyball starting April 16 Monday to Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Hall of Champions. Participation is free and open to all U.S. ID cardholder ages 18 and older. Stop by the Hall of Champions Sports Office to get involved.
