Employment Opportunities

The Wiesbaden military community is full of employment opportunities for family members, both full- and part-time, both paid and volunteer.

There are two major types of civilian employment opportunities available: Appropriated Fund (APF) and Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) paid from money generated by Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities. The U.S. Army, Europe (USAREUR) recruitment program is centralized out of the Civilian Personnel Operations Center (CPOC) in Seckenheim, Germany. The CPOC is supplemented by nine regional Civilian Personnel Advisory Centers (CPACs) with fourteen additional branch offices located throughout Europe. Applicants residing in Europe must use the Resumix application when applying for appropriated fund (GS) vacancy announcements. To find out more about the Resumix process and for information for getting appropriated fund, nonappropriated fund and local national positions, log on to the Civilian Human Resources Agency European Region web site, http://cpolrhp.belvoir.army.mil/eur/index.htm

Areas of employment within the Wiesbaden military community are:

  • Appropriated fund, Civil Service
  • Non-appropriated fund (NAF)
  • Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS)
  • AAFES
  • Private business and industry, i.e. contractors
