Employment Readiness Program

Purpose:

Employment Readiness offers a wide variety of programs to assist family members in navigating the employment process. These programs include:

  • Resume Preparation
  • How to use the Civilian Human Resource Management (CHRMA) computerized Resumix system
  • Interviewing techniques and preparation
  • Dressing for success
  • Listings of available local jobs (civilian and contract)
  • Understanding applicable military terminology and policies as they relate to employment (for example: Spouse Preference)

  • Printer
  • Printed materials for employment searches
  • Job board with all local vacany announcements including federal, contractor and private
  • Career Counseling to help assess the client's aptitude and interests
  • Bi-annual Job and Career Expo point of contact for employers and interested job seekers

Career Enhancement Classes

  • Resumix (Army federal Resume) Preparation: twice monthly
  • Resume and Cover Letter for non-appropriated fund federal employemtn: monthly
  • Interview Preparation: monthly
  • Dress for Success: monthly

Class schedules are listed on the Calendar of Events. Anyone interested must register by 5 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled class date. Classes are presented at Army Community Service, Hainerberg Housing, Building 7790, Room 22. Classes can also be arranged for units, Family Readiness Groups or other U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden affiliated organizations. In addition to the above listings, special request classes can be arranged.
