Wiesbaden Outdoor Recreation program provides structured and self-directed recreation activities and instruction. It offers a diverse and comprehensive outdoor recreation program while teaching patrons life-long leisure skills and showing them how to make the most of their time in Germany.
The Outdoor Recreation staff organizes and conducts programs and educational, safety, and instructional classes, organizes specialized tours, and provides maintenance services for a variety of equipment. |
Cultural Trips
Outdoor Recreation offers a large variety of cultural trips designed to expose community members to the many cultural sites present in Germany and other European Countries. Our trips include city and castle tours, international festivals and events, theme parks and beach get-a-ways. Some of the most frequently visited cities include Strasbourg, Munich, Berlin, Florence and Barcelona. Cultural trips are programmed year-round and are a fantastic way to learn about Europe and its culture. |
High Adventure
High priority is placed on challenge-type activities that contribute to physical fitness, military skills, and safe practice of outdoor pursuits. These trips include mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, airboarding, hydrospeeding and whitewater rafting. Outdoor Recreation prides itself on giving its customers the adrenaline rush they desire. |
Snowboarding and Skiing Wiesbaden Outdoor Recreation prides itself in the weekly ski and snowboard trips offered during the winter season. Our trips will take you to a variety of ski resorts in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Italy. Holiday favorites include Zermatt, Engelberg, Mayerhofen, Winklmoos, Bellamonte and Stubaital!

Private Trips
Interested in a private tour? ODR provides bus services for a variety of venues and trips ranging from a few hours to several days. The development of specialized private trips is offered for every type of activity ranging from skiing to cultural tours. Our fleet includes 9, 17, 22 and 50 Passenger buses. Please contact our office for more information. Our staff will assist you with building an itinerary and provide you with price quotes. |
Equipment Check-Out
Wiesbaden Outdoor Recreation operates a full service equipment check out center. Equipment available for checkout ranges from tents, climbing gear, mountain bikes to unit function equipment. Community members are able to participate in many outdoor sports without having to invest in costly personal equipment.

Ski and Snowboard Maintenance
Getting ready to carve the slopes or hit the Nordic trails? In order to enjoy the experience to its fullest, you need well-maintained equipment tuned to perfection. That’s where our ski and snowboard shop services can help. ODR offers a wide range of services including:
- Binding Inspection, Mounting and Binding Function Testing
- Ski and Snowboard Tuning: We tune by hand or machine to meet your needs.
- Waxing: Prepare for the first snowfall or rejuvenate your equipment mid-season.
- Base Repair and Edge-Replacement Service: We can bring those beat-up boards back to life.
