All Wiesbaden middle- and high school-age students attend Wiesbaden Middle School or Wiesbaden High School. In Wiesbaden, most elementary students attend Hainerberg Elementary School. Students whose sponsors reside in the Aukamm Housing area attend school at Aukamm Elementary.
DoDDS schools special education services are directed by both federal regulations and Department of Defense Instruction guidance. All disabilities fall into five disability categories identified by the law that the Case Study Committee will review during the evaluation process to determine if your child is eligible for special education.
DoDDS students take Terra Nova testing annually for grades 3 11.

A Sure Start preschool program, similar to Head Start in the U.S.A., is available for some students who are 4 years old by Aug. 31 of the school year. Part-day preschool services are available through Child and Youth Services.
Sponsors Orders, Immunization Records, Birth Certificate, Passport, ID Card, Social Security Card, Transcript, School Record, Last Year Report Card and a Sports physical evaluation record, signed by a physician (valid for one year). Sports physical examination may be coordinated with the medical clinic.

DoDEA however does recognize that home schooling is a sponsor's right and that home schooling can be a legitimate alternative form of education for the sponsors dependents. Things to know regarding DoDEA Home Schooling policy: DoDEA schools, Child and Youth Services, and other community resources provide services for sponsors choosing to home school their minor dependents. Specified auxiliary services with DoDEA such as music, sports, extracurricular and inter scholastic activities are available within existing regulations and policies.
